[Production Module Analysis Case] Evaluation Parameters

Breaking away from conventional simple methods! Moving towards "analysis" of NC data with the AdvantEdge brand.

This is an example of analysis regarding the issues of "Although the cutting volume was kept constant, the tool was damaged due to machining titanium alloy with a shallow cutting depth" and "Although the cutting volume was kept constant, the surface finish of the aluminum alloy machining deteriorated." The analysis using 'ProductionModule' evaluates tool damage and trial surface finish characteristics. By evaluating the cutting load during machining in detail rather than using a simplified method based on cutting geometry, it becomes possible to optimize the cutting simulation process considering machining time and tool life, including the spindle power of the machine tool and tool torque. 【Issues】 ■ Although the cutting volume was kept constant, the tool was damaged due to machining titanium alloy with a shallow cutting depth. ■ Although the cutting volume was kept constant, the surface finish of the aluminum alloy machining deteriorated. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Analysis case: Construction of an NC data optimization system using cutting simulation.

We will introduce the interface with CAM and support for machine tool controllers!

This is an example of building an NC data optimization system using the 'Production Module' that performs physical simulations on CAD/CAM. When the product dimensions do not match the CAD/CAM model, machining errors occur due to tool deflection based on cutting forces. With this product, it becomes possible to evaluate the amount of tool deflection and assess the relationship with machining errors, allowing for the consideration of various machining plans. 【Consideration Items】 ■ Tool diameter ■ Axial depth of cut ■ Number of flutes ■ Radial depth of cut *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Optimization of NC Data for Automotive Aluminum Alloy Parts

A "leap" from geometric simulation in CAD/CAM to physical simulation!

In the 'Production Module' that evaluates cutting loads on CAD/CAM models, it is possible to conduct necessary considerations for creating optimal machining processes through cutting simulations. We will introduce examples of considering tool changes through cutting simulations. While improvements aimed at increasing productivity are demanded daily, it is difficult to stop the manufacturing process for testing. However, this product contributes to reducing machining time through tool changes. [Issues] - In addition to diverse geometries of tool paths, it is common for machining processes to include multiple operations such as face milling and drilling. - While improvements aimed at increasing productivity are demanded daily, it is difficult to stop the manufacturing process for testing. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
